Prof. Francesco Carlo Morabito

Francesco Carlo Morabito is a Full Professor (2001) of Electrical Engineering and Neural Engineering with the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria, Italy. He served there as Dean (Faculty of Engineering, 2001-2008), as President of the Courses in Electronic Engineering (1998) and Industrial Engineering (2015), as Vice-Rector for Internationalisation (2013-2022), and as Deputy Rector (2017-2018). He’s the founding Director of NeuroLab and AI_Lab, at DICEAM, UNIRC. He has authored or co-authored over 400 papers in international journals/conference proceedings in various fields of engineering (machine/deep learning, biomedical signal processing, radar data processing, nuclear fusion, nondestructive evaluation, artificial and computational intelligence). He has co-authored >25 intl. books (mostly focused on neural networks and machine learning) and held five international patents. Prof. Morabito is a Foreign Member for the Royal Academy of Doctors, Spain (2004-), a Foreign Member for the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences (RACEF, 2025-), a member of the Institute of Spain, Barcelona Economic Network (2017-). Senior Member of IEEE (2000), Life senior Member (2025-), and of INNS (2006). Governor of the International Neural Network Society (INNS), 2022-2024, and earlier for 12 years (2000-2012). President of INNS (2024-2026). He served as President of the Italian Network Network Society (SIREN), 2008-2014, and is co-chair of the Italian Conference on Neural Networks (WIRN). Editorial Board member for Neural Networks, International Journal of Neural Systems, and EiC for Artificial Intelligence in Neurology. He’s included since 2021 in the Top 2% researchers according to the University of Stanford/Elsevier database.

Prof. Xinwei Yao

Xin-Wei Yao (Senior Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou, China, in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University of Technology. From March 2012 to February 2013, he was a Visiting Scholar at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, U.K. From August 2015 to July 2016, he served as a Visiting Professor at both the University at Buffalo, Amherst, NY, USA, and the State University of New York at Albany, NY, USA. His current research interests include terahertz-band communication networks, electromagnetic nanonetworks, wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, wireless power transfer, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. Yao is a recipient of the Distinguished Associate Professor Award and the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award from Zhejiang University of Technology. He has actively served on the technical program committees of numerous IEEE and ACM conferences.

 

Prof. Jianfeng Lu

Jianfeng Lu (Member, IEEE) received the PhD degree in computer application technology from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010. He worked with Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua. China, from 2010 to 2021, served as a visiting researcher with University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh USA, in 2013, and is currently a professor with the school of Computer Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. His research interests include federated learning, crowd computing, and game theory.

Prof. Wei Jiang

Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China

Dr. Wei Jiang is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-supervisor. He serves as a peer review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and is included in the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Expert Database. He is also a member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), and IEEE. His primary research interests include object re-identification, continual learning, dataset distillation, and 3D reconstruction. In recent years, he has authored or co-authored nearly 50 papers as the first or corresponding author, which have been published in prestigious international journals such as Nature sister journals, IEEE TIP, IEEE TIFS, IEEE TIS, IEEE TMM, as well as presented at top-tier computer vision conferences including ICCV, CVPR, and ECCV. He has led five national-level research projects, including those funded by the NSFC, and seven provincial/ministerial-level research initiatives.

Prof. Tianhong Pan

Anhui University, China

Pan Tianhong is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Anhui University. He has been recognized under several prestigious talent programs, including the Innovative Leading Talent of the Anhui Special Support Program, the Jiangsu “333 High-level Personnel Training Project,” and the Jiangsu “Six Talent Peaks” Project. His excellence in education has earned him the Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award and the title of Teaching Master of China’s Mechanical Industry. 

He currently serves as an Editorial Board Member for the journal Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems. He is also an active member of the Process Control Professional Committee and the Predictive Control and Intelligent Decision-making Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA).

His research interesting includes industrial process system design, state estimation and performance evaluation, and  integration and optimized management of new energy power battery systems, etc. 

He has spearheaded more than 10 high-level research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Anhui Provincial Key R&D Program, and the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Major Projects etc.

His prolific academic output includes 100+ academic papers,

4 monographs (3 in Chinese and 1 in English), 39 authorized Chinese invention patents, 4 provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Awards.
